Markie Traction Engine Gas Kit (All Engines except Scenic / Crane)

Upgrade your Markie Traction Engine with the BIX 031 gas conversion kit featuring an easy to bend gas pipe for improved burner alignment and easy installation.

Comes with a Bix 016 gas tank that sits neatly inside the tender, a Bix 003 ceramic gas burner, a 135mm gas connecting pipe, and the correct (number 8) gas jet.

You will need to make a bracket to hold your burner.

Gas firing offers cleaner operation, faster heat-up times, and better control over steam production. It’s a practical upgrade for anyone wanting to get the most out of their Markie engine, whether for hobby use, display, or performance.

PLEASE NOTE: This kit WILL NOT FIT if you have the Scenic version / Super Showmans engines with crane attachments.

BIX were the chosen suppliers of the gas tanks that were used for Markie traction engines, and we can still supply the large tanks that were mounted on the trailers.  If you would like a kit that is suitable for the trailer, please give our sales team a call, where a BIX member of staff can help you. We cannot currently supply a flexible gas pipe.
