Custom refillable BIX gas tanks
BIX offer a wide variety of refillable gas tanks and burners, but we realise that you may occasionally need a different size to what we offer.
We have been producing custom gas tanks and burners for our customers since our inception, and we offer to manufacture products that follow the basic design of our current product lineup.
Our team can make gas tanks in horizontal of vertical arrangements, with or without a foot, in 28mm, 50mm, 54mm, or 40mm diameter. All tanks will need our current filler fitting to allow us to pressure test it to 400 PSI as per current gas regulations.
All of the current BIX gas tanks can also be customized. So you maybe need the outlet to be turned 45 degrees to allow filling in a tight space? Or maybe you’d like the filler valve moved closer to the edge of the gas tank? This is all very easy to accomplish, so just let us know your requirements.
All gas tanks will be stamped with a unique number for identification, and carry its own unique pressure test certificate.
Custom BIX ceramic gas burners
We can also make custom ceramic burners to your specification. We prefer them to be similar to our current burners in width so that we can use our jigs to keep your costs down.
Burner lengths can easily be adjusted, but bare in mind that changing the burner dimensions will change how the gas is distributed throughout the burner tray.
So it’s not as simple as just changing the size of the burner, the gas flow will need to be adjusted with a special gauze inside the burner. This means that the burner will need to be designed from scratch, and will require testing by us to optimize the flame, which can be time consuming and adds to the overall cost.
