Phil and Dee Hancock started the company in 1999 and grew to become the UK’s leading toy steam dealer. Since those early days, we have gradually expanded Forest Classics to the superb range of Live Steam, Stirling and other engines that we stock today that may be found on this website. We are Wilescos representative in the UK and remained the UK’s top Mamod dealer for both engines and spares until their closure in 2024. We hold franchises for all of the top names including Bohm, Jensen, Mamod, Mercer, Maxitrak, Markie, PM Research, Redwing, Regner, Wilesco and much more!

We have been partners with BIX since their inception in 2002, and in 2025 we merged with BIX in order to offer an even more reliable service and streamlined buying experience.

We carry a large range of pre owned models, and will soon have a dedicated site especially for used models at Foreststeam.com.

We send our models by Fedex and UPS on a next day delivery service from day of despatch (except weekends).

If nobody is going to be in to receive the parcel can it be left with a neighbour? Or somewhere safe such as a shed or porch? Spares and smaller items are sent by Royal Mail using their tracked service.
